Winery Review: Beringer Vineyards philosophy - "To thine own self be true". Don't be hating...I like California wine, in fact prefer it and this is a superb example of why...Raspberry and plum on the nose with hints of that jamminess coming through on the tongue. Subtle oak and soft tannins make this a very drinkable red on its own.

My Review: This was sweeter than the Yellow Tail Merlot and in my opinion, easier on the taste buds and therefore easier to drink. When it comes to flavor, I really enjoyed the raspberry. I did not have this with food. I was actually very thirsty and hungry at the time so the sweetness was very pleasant.
